These questions have been formulated according to the guidelines suggested in the syllabus, using the specified weighting of Bloom’s taxonomy, a copy of which is included.

POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS: Concise, easy-to-follow visual presentations, with text and images to reinforce the basic concepts of art and architecture. The “Architecture Basics” and “Art Elements and Design Principles – Buildings” Powerpoints are integral for the basic knowledge to complete the architecture questionnaire

  • Architecture Basics: Architecture Basics provides an overview of what architecture is, what materials can be used for construction, as well as an overview of different types of buildings. The 15 slides of examples and explanations illustrate the specific function of the different types of buildings and how this function reflects in their design.
  • Art Elements and Design Principles – Buildings: This 13-slide presentation explores how architects use art elements and design principles to create visually pleasing or memorable buildings. The same methodology of “fact, justify and opinion”, introduced in Term 2, is used to analyse two iconic buildings.
  • The Role of Artists in Society: Using “The Role of Artists in Society” PowerPoint will remove the worry about discussing this complex topic in class. Topics that we might not have known existed, are revealed in this 11-slide presentation.

WORKPACK 3: Cityscape Collage
