WORKPACK 2: Visual Literacy

LESSON PLAN: VISUAL LITERACY: An exercise on how to do Visual Literacy analyses. Apply logical steps to the understanding and appreciation of Visual Art. A handy vocabulary list is also included to add a spark to the learners’ personal analysis.

LESSON PLAN: DEFINING AREAS OF LIGHT AND SHADE USING WATERCOLOUR PENCILS: This lesson introduces the use of Aquarelle watercolour pencils in defining areas of light and shade in a simple Still Life example.

WORKPACK 4: Term assessment – Local Craft and Crafters

LESSON PLAN: CRAFTERS PROJECT – Part 1: Information on two rural pottery crafters including web and YouTube links. This information serves as research material on local crafters, and is the basis for the Crafters Project Part 2.

LESSON PLAN: CRAFTERS PROJECT – Part 2: A questionnaire on two pottery and ceramic crafters that learners complete after reading Part 1. The questions have been formulated according to the guidelines suggested in the syllabus, using the specified weighting of Bloom’s taxonomy, a copy of which is also included as a teacher’s guideline.

LESSON PLAN: CRAFTERS PROJECT – Part 3: Create an amazing jungle-themed plate design, inspired by material covered in the Crafters Project.
